Women Walking on Broken Glass

 See the video here

I read this article the other day, and saw it featured in part of a discussion last night, on @DonLemon.  Her story resonated with me, and I'm sure many of you can relate.

It's unfortunate, in the new millennium, females have to work twice as hard, get paid less, walk on eggshells as to not frighten her superiors with her intelligence, all in an effort to try to balance things out.  Instead of being seen as the asset you are, you become more of a threat with every achievement.

"Women battle to break through the glass ceiling. After that, what comes is walking on broken glass."~Frida Ghitis

Why is it, when a woman handles her business, society chooses a polar opposite selection of adjectives to describe her work ethic, than her male counterparts?  What's the point?  Do you lean in, be a good girl, and do just enough to meet the status quo?  Or do you continue to be you, strive to reach astronomical levels of success, handle your business like the best of them, knowing the "reward" to come, for doing an amazing job?

I'll always side with the latter.  Soar beyond your fears, be a Singular Sensation, and make magic happen!  Besides, any superwoman can walk on glass like a diva!  Jill, you got this!
