Firebirds Wood Fired Grill at Potomac Town Center

The Firebar
It's always fun to hang out with the kids, plan meet-ups with their friends and parents, but "ME" time, and ("SHE" time with the girls, and of course "HE" time for the guys) catching up with your friends (without the kids), is equally important to have.

A long-time friend and I recently planned our meet-up at Potomac Town Center, which is bustling with new restaurants and shops!  Everytime I visit the area, it seems as if something new has opened, or is about to.

Wood-grilled salmon, fresh veggies, and port mushrooms
Initially, we were going to visit the new Cheesecake Factory at Potomac Mills, but the thought of parking mad the Town Center the easier option.  As we walked past Firebirds Wood Fire Grill, the warm and cozy ambiance drew us in like moths to a flame...or maybe it was the colors of the adult beverages that appeared to be glowing from the cascading bar!  The friendly staff opening the doors for us probably had something to do with it as well!

Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries!
During our visit she had the salmon entree with veggies and mushrooms-which was tantalizing to the tastebuds and in compliance with a low carb diet!  I ordered the the cheesecake and sweet potato waffle fries and I must say, their cheeseburger is one of the best burgers I've ever had!  I'm sure it has something to do with the wood-fired grill, or perhaps a secret ingredient.  Whatever they did, it was scrumptious!  The sweet potato waffle fries were a good side; I'm one of those people, who does not like their sweet potatoes seasoned like french fries, I like to keep them-sweet!  At Firebirds, they don't season them, so you can eat them any way you like, even with a side of honey!

Be sure to try the lemonade from "Alex's Lemonade Stand."  A $1 donation is donated to support the fight against childhood cancer, with each purchase of lemonade-which also comes in strawberry!

If you visit, and have room for dessert, be sure to try the Cream Brulee Cheesecake!

So, if you're looking for a place to catch up, check out Firebirds at Poromac Town Center, start there.  Then take time to walk your meal off, and do some holiday shopping while your there.  I recommend this restaurant for ME, SHE, HE time, happy hour, as well as dates!

PS- Firebirds has an awesome Kid's Menu as well!
