Be A Singular Sensation, the TV Show! Interview with the Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated!

"Be A Singular Sensation" strives to bind the fabrics that make up our community.  In doing so, it is imperative to shed light on the "Divine 9," our Black Greek Lettered Organizations!  These sororities and fraternities provide services in our community that make them an essential thread, that holds things together, and makes us stronger as a unit.  We were pleased to have Mrs. Ruth M. Norfleet, Scholarship Committee Chair of the Omicron Chi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; and Ms. Perin Black, of the Iota Epsilon Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. join us!

The Omicron Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., has a variety of community outreach programs planned for the current sorority year!  They are a wonderful resource for scholarships, to ease the financial challenge that often stands in the way of our youth pursuing degrees.  The Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. also provide outreach programs to youth, through mentoring in Prince William County Schools, and holding an annual "Little Miss AKA" pageant!

Join them on October 19th, for their Small Business Economic Summit, from 7:30am - 4:30pm, at Potomac Middle School in Dumfries, Virginia.  Visit here to register!  Check their website to stay informed of their upcoming events!

The Iota Epsilon Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc., also has several community outreach programs planned, to meet the needs of the community!  Like the AKA's and other members of the Divine 9, they provide scholarships, and mentoring services, as well.   Through their affiliate programs, "The Rhoer Club," and the "Philo Club," they work on leadership development with youth and women who have yet to join Greek Lettered Organizations.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc., will be hosting "Zumba Against Breast Cancer," on October 19th, 1pm-3pm, at XPort Fitness in Alexandria, Virginia.  Visit here to reserve your space.  And of course, check their website, to stay abreast of upcoming events!
